Dave
Dave has been the owner of the Warming House since 1983. Prior to owning the business he taught special ed. Dave is an avid golfer, skiier, snowshoer and hiker. Dave is the king of boot fittings. He is one of the best in the country at finding the perfect boot for any feet. Yes, even your feet - he loves a good challenge... bring it on!
Favorite Hike: Anything in Europe that's long and has a cold beer waiting at the end of the day.

Phebe
Phebe has also owned the Warming House since 1983, and is Dave's better half. Before buying the shop, she was a high school choir teacher. She still keeps music in her life by playing piano for church. She loves to hike, travel, write, and snowshoe and watch House Hunters on HGTV with Rista. Phebe loves outfitting women and guiding women's trips.
Favorite Hike: She's hiked around the globe, but when talking about Rocky Mountain National Park she still says, "It doesn't get any better than this." Favorite Rocky Mountain Hike is Over the Divide to Grand Lake and Mt. Alice in Wild Basin.

John
John has been with the Warming House since 2004. He also has a real estate appraisal business and is the store meteorology expert. He is married to Sara and is the "true" owner of Rista.
Favorite Hike: Anything with some good fishing. And no, he's not telling anyone where that is.

RJ
While RJ has been a great Warming House customer for many years, he's only been working with us since 2007. He is married to Cheri and has a little girl named Katie. In addition to the great outdoors, RJ is a wine and food snob, (a.k.a. "Foodie") and maintains a coral tank.
Favorite Hike: RJ is the proud papa of a two-year girl, Katie. Favorite hikes these days are anything short and kid-friendly.

Marian
Valerie and Marian are sisters. Val came first and started guiding and working in the store. When we hiked during the week, Marian joined in. When Val blew out her knee on a snowshoe trip, Marian stepped in and never looked back.
Favorite Hike: Fern & Odessa on snowshoes was so exhausting but gorgeous. Ogalalla with Michael. Backpacking and climbing Elkstooth with Phebe and Chase (even though that was exhausting coming out). The Hessie Loop with Phebe and Valerie and of course stopping at Kathmandu for dinner in Nederland. Pick any one.

Val
Val joined The Warming House staff in 2008 primarily as a guide for women's trips. She also works in the store primarily in the summer. Val has always enjoyed hiking, but she became a compulsive hiker when she started hanging out with Phebe.
Favorite Hike: She agrees with Phebe. Best hike is Over the Divide to Grand Lake.

Kristen
Kristen came to the Warming House in 2005, bringing along her Web and marketing experience with her. After being a stay-at-home mom to three little boys and wife to Josh, Kristen is now taking a job a dispatcher for the town of Estes Park. She's not really working much for us anymore, but it doesn't matter. She's one of ours.
Favorite Hike: She's a 14er peak-bagger, and would have to choose Pikes Peak as her favorite. 25 miles round trip, and 7,800-feet elevation gain make for an awesome trash hike.

Rista
Rista, who once was known as John's dog, is now the famous Warming House dog. He has fans from all over the country, and even believes people come to Estes Park to see him. Rista makes a good model for our dog packs. He'll also dance, sing, and say, "I love you"... if you bring him a treat!
Favorite Hike: Rista loves any hike with lots of bushes and trees. He especially loves to go to Miller Rock because there's a long section next to the water where he can sit and soak and get muddy.
